The Waiting Game II is the continuation of Txema Salvans' award-winning project, which earned the 2012 RM Photobook Competition. This second installment delves further into the stark yet inhabited landscapes of the Spanish Mediterranean, capturing a different layer of human experience.
While the first book centered on the lives of prostitutes, this new chapter focuses on fishermen. Whether casting their lines in reservoirs, marshes, rivers, or along the coast of port towns, these fishermen embody patience and perseverance, seamlessly blending into their environments. For many, fishing is less about the catch and more about escaping daily routines - a way to simply “stay out of the house.”
